I would like to post some of 2012 and 2013 so far pulling specs

2012 specs:
Last year I ran with duals 285/75r16 BFG ATs. Three inch spacers. Bens lockup controller. Started in fourth and unlocked at the end. I liked it for the speed but would get pulled down real fast.

This year I ditched the duals and Bens controller. Switched to 3.42. It now locks up with out a controller. 3rd gear start. I ran 35's one time and twisted my stock driveshaft.

I ran Friday with my Cooper LTZ 285/60r18. Ran really good for me. 4000 at 26.7 mph.

I really like running third low and not having to worry about locking and unlocking.

I run a three link rear setup and bolts in the front stops to help with hitch hight. Fass 95 this year Walbro 392 last year. I made my own tie rod sleeves and front supports.

My fueling is 2950 pw and Josh's timing calculator max at 35. Last year and this year.

I run against Wes 3.0 and the Carlson's 3.0 and 2.6 trucks.

Any info anyone wants please ask.

I have used this forum for the last five years for a lot of my setup. Not talking about anything on here because I thought no one would care. But if I put some of my trial and error maybe people will learn just like I did and do.

Two inch wheel spacers will NOT work with 98 chev dually wheels. I spent 7 hours grinding to make them fit and when I drove my truck out of the shop and stepped on the brake they broke.

The three inch require a little grinding. But I don't like how much strain they put on your bearings.

I run s475 over stock. I have a custom wastegate (took out stock flap and blocked with the turbo piping) I was making my twin setup when Trent was got his first set of twins. He made a couple passes at the strip and said he opened his secondary's wastegate thinking it would drive his primary. It did not work for him and me either. I will be replacing the stock one next year. Maybe going to a single.

What didn't you like about the lock up box that made you stop useing it was looking into one for pulling. I know my set up is a lot smaller then yours I just want to pull in a work stock class so just trying to gather info. Thanks again for your time and comments

I liked the box and it did everything I needed. With starting out in fourth my torque convertor would never lock on its own. Plus I never had enough power to spin out at the end so I would have to unlock at the end.

My thinking in staring in fourth with lower power level is to get my momentum up and use speed to get the sled farther. It worked for the most part but really hard on the truck. Every sled and track are different. The sled we pull let's us pull 300-340'. I did however pull real well on a short track last year. I took 500Lb off the front hoping to take off faster.
