I dont understand how all this is going wrong if it was all planned for as they said it was. I mean I know things dont always go to plan but I guess its just me as everything I do I have a tendency to overbuild. I know this is on a much bigger platform but something as important as nuclear energy and its components I would think get the utmost attention in safety precautions especially in the "Ring of fire". This is devastating to these people and Im sure Id be all freaked out if I was living in a region where reactors were going bad and such. Could be flashbacks for some Im sure.

I see what your saying, but it was only planned on paper. How do you do real world testing for that kind of stuff? Engineers do the best they can to say it will hold up, just cause it works on paper, doesnt mean it will in the real world.

I doubt there will be Chernobyl in Japan, it's not the kind of design that can do that. The reactors weathered the earthquake just fine even though they were some of the oldest designs in operation today and were only designed for an earthquake 1/10th the strength as what occurred, it was the tsunami (and I think they will find human error of the explosion) that was the root cause of the overheating.

Place TnT around it and try to blow it up. If it holds its a good design.... :roflmao:
