What are the pros and cons to single vs dual exhaust?

IMO duals are not my thing for diesels unless you have triples and need them

It's purely a cosmetic thing, won't be a performance difference really.

IMO, a good 4" single exhaust is really all you need on a street truck. Duals are simply for looks.

Looks and sound, when i dualed mine it changed the sound. Has a nice low tone.

Again looks. A four inch will flow plenty.

You have to think about your oversize spare tire if you have one. It gets tight on duals and 5" sometimes.

I know duals are quieter WOT compared to a single 4 or 5" Straightpiped exhaust. My duals are Straightpiped but would like that there not obnoxiously loud. Just perfect.

duals make it easier to blow smoke on someone no matter wich lane they are in! plus smoke from both sides is pretty cool!
