Ok, finally getting around to finishing the build on my street reaper while here in Italy. I appreciate any feedback you guys are willing to offer from the "been there, screwed that up". Here is what she has so far (with photo):

No BullyDog! Use EFILive for tuning. Skip the Aurora 4000 and get a 68stg2r from Danville. Youre gonna need a built trans too. Shipping will be killer but Im sure someone could get a transmission over there. The 5-6 speed conversion isnt worth the money. You'll also need to upgrade the CP3 to make full use of those injectors. The regular ARP studs will be fine, no need for the 12mm. Check with the vendors on here before you order parts. They are very knowledgeable and will help point you in the right direction. Good luck!

awesome. thanks for the info so far guys. I'll be doing more researching on it, as I want this to be a complete street beast. I'm the only one in the Friuli Region with a Duramax, so, it definitely turns heads haha.

worst comes to worst, I have one more household goods shipment available before the end of the year, so I could do a suncoast trans, and put that in my HHG to save on freight.

Overall, I'm wanting about 500hp out of her, and a front and rear end that will handle it. I know the suncoast trans will handle anything I feel like tossing at it, I'll go through the vendor list for finding a driveshaft/CV axle setup.

Any suggestions on the CP3? or would just a OEM replacement be good?

The reason why I was wanting the 12mm studs, was in case I wanted to go further after this, that way I don't have to buy twice ;)

Ok now that i can type on a regular computer haha Are you at a APO?

Build your trans the 5/6 is a waste really and with all this extra your gonna limp it anyways....

fabtech lifts are ok cognito or zone are nice as well

turbo- go with a 3794 or 68r from mark at danville and get all your plumbing from HSP

Talk to Brent At lincoln diesel for your Injectors Great guy great prices

you do not need to delete the filter or get a sump its more of some people prefer it.

Keep eye out for a welded Up pipe and just peplace it instead of doing a egr delete bc im sure youll want Intercooler pipes if your planning HP goals and HSP Y bridge deletes the EGR anyways

cosmetic stuff is on you really

for 500 you really dont need alot of what you posted i need to find a dyno for mine when i get back home but ive got whats in my sig and i think im over 5 if not i will be with the parts that are at the house :D:D:D:D


you should look into tie rods and upgraded steering componets BTW

what "stage 2" turbo do you have right now? A built trans with EFI live can put you over 500hp with stock turbo/fueling. The axles/driveshaft/cv's will be fine.

If you feel up to the task of rebuilding your trans ID go that route because even if you get a trans in your household goods you'll have to send a core back or just pay the core charge.

Talk to the guys at suncoast or Evan at limitless :thumb:

yall are definitely helping me save a ton of cash. Definitely want to upgrade the steering components and such, figured I'd get the overpriced stuff complied with first.

APO is definitely saving me money for shipping on the wheels and tires! I'd lose my mind any other way.

4094 should get you well into the 6's if I'm not mistaken

Just get some good EFI live tunes and build the trans upgrade the steering and wait until you want to dive into building the motor

All you really need for 500 is EFILive, a built trans and lift pump. My truck made a hair over 600 and ran 11.9s with a 4094vnt. The truck had 45% injectors and stock CP3.
