So, I'm tired of dumping money into my truck as much fun as it is. I'm going to get started on a little side project next along with my day job, and my weekend job.....

Something like this

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ccsb9DqJMSI

only a little bigger with bigger tires (think it will work out with the high HP)
And I'm going to do a cage on it since I think I can incorporate it into making the frame strong.

I really have no idea what would be a good material to make it out of, not sure what tubing will hold up to it. I want at least a 1000cc engine (really looking at putting a 1300 gsxr engine on it)

I really think I can do this for a donor bike ($1500) and about $2000 worth of material.

What would you guys use to build it? I'm almost thinking put some sort of suspension (small travel) on it

Those little shifter carts are badass and a lot of fun if you have somewhere to drive them! There's a little gocart track about an hour and a half from me that has them. Iirc you can buy a complete rolling chassis for $2500 from Sodi. The only reason I don't have one is there aren't any tracks close by and the temptation to drive it down the street and/or through Walmart at 3a.m. would just be too much for me to handle.

Any really I wouldn't pay to much in weight for turn signals and lights, a windscreen and the little things needed to make it somewhat street legal in TN (where my home of record is and I tag my trucks). I'm sure the gxsr engine would overcome the 50 lbs of stuff I need

I'm thinking 1 1/4 .065 CM tubing for it. maybe a wide front end to keep it from rolling with a few inches of travel on a light suspension, solid rear axle with wide tires.

I am a little torn between on and off road. I need to find my donor bike first, then I can figure out if it will be on or off road

a good friend of mine built a cart with a 1300cc gsxr motor from a donor bike. All i will say is it would not go straight. It was probably the fastest thing i have ever driven and by far the scariest. That said, i think you should figure out how to turbocharge a 1300cc gsxr and then build a terrifying cart :thumb:

There is multiple turbo kits for busas out, Hahn racing, Velocity racing and RCC are just a couple of the makers.

I put on a Hahn kit before on my old one, but took it off a couple months later cause I value my skin and life.

this thread has so much fail in it. no half naked hot women, no pics of the build, and the OP certainly has no balls to follow through with said concept

My buddy had a busa with a big bore 1396cc and a 14" stretch and lowered and it was faster than anything I've ever seen! It would eat up a stock busa like it was sitting still! I can't imagine how fast a turbo busa would be

I think this post needs to be moved to the callout section! :woott::popcorn:
