There are benifits beyond direct, tangible #'s for results. For example- peace of mind- egt probe mounts in ideal spots, that are reinforced and wont crack
They cycle heat better, again peace of mind that even with only pumped up stock power, the manifolds and up pipes are capable of the added heat being thrown thru them
they move exhaust gasses more efficiently, which will help your turbo on both sides of the turbo wheel, and help to reduce egt's
Um, hello- bling baby- manifolds and uppies look cooler
My exhaust sounds crisper and more throaty after install
You are (more)ready for a turbo upgrade when the time arises
I run ppe's, but i am sure ricks from profab would yeild the same results
There are alot of things that i would consider more important, depending on other mods would make my decision
example- air dog fuel filter/lift pump- more important
Depending on year-intake and or exhaust-more important
Efi live and gauges-more important
Suspension and steering upgrades-way more important
so in my opinion
Yes manifolds and uppipes do make a difference on a modified stock truck, maybe not much at all in raw performance but a differance none the less
No, they would be a waste on a bone stock truck

Rick i don't think anyone is disputing the Quality of your product at all! The debate i see is whether or not the gains they will receive are worth the money spent on the parts. For a stockish street truck there is no real need for headers and 2'' up pipes. On a aftermarket turbo street/strip truck yes:thumb: Yes you will see improvements on a bone stock truck but is it worth the money??? That up to the customer

Exactly!!!! Very well said!!! Thanks for the comment....

I personally think aftermarket uppipes manifolds even headers are a huge waste of money. Unless you have problems blowing factory bellows like in your case.

I would have to say differently. They do make a difference. It might not be huge, but every little bit adds up.

Even though we arent arguing quality, Rick does make great products.

X2 Tom. For $1200, I didnt notice a difference except for drive pressure, and a 50* EGT drop at WOT. Claims of 200* drop, lets be serious. To me, not worth 1200 bones, but I was between a rock and a hrd place at the time. Now, if only they would stop rubbing my frame

Passenger side, bottom of manifold rubs on frame aove 10psi while spooling at the track. Motor mounts are 30k miles old, guess I need some fancy MA mounts..

Um, Id say so. Bet when you take the drivers side out, it'll be broke clean in half.

But....thats not a manifold issue. More of a "cause and effect" thing....
