I bought a new laptop and loaded the latest version of EFI Live on it (Build 88) and went out to the truck just to change my tire size speedo calibration. I went to go to work this morning and the truck cranked fine BUT, the "Service Brake System" message comes up, the parking brake light, ABS light, CEL is lit and the speedo doesnt work.... Truck runs fine though. I guess I will put it back stock when I get home to see if that fixes it. I didnt change the tune, same tune I've been running for weeks, just changed my tire size... Thanks for any replies.

I have 265's. Pat wrote the tune for me when I bought EFI Live and I've been running it for a long time, it was for 33's though so I finally got around to changing the tire size and it flipped out on me. I'll put the stock tune on it tonight or reapply the current tune and see if that fixes it.

Guy wrote some words of wisdom on tires >35" and ABS last year on another forum.

Guys,

The code is thrown when the difference between the rear wheel speed sensor and the front wheel speed sensor is approx 5 mph for 5 seconds. The differences between rear and front are in %, so the faster you go the more likely you will throw a code.

A general rule is anything over 35" and you get a code.

I find that programming the ABS controller with a Tech 2 for 285/75/16 tires is a good place to start. Get your speedo cal correct with a GPS. Then use the Tech to monitor the front and rear wheel speed sensors and adjust the ABS tire size from there.

If I recall correctly, look under "Chassis" "Special Functions" in the Tech 2.

Hope this helps,

Guy

Some have had sucess in setting EFILive to around 35" and playing in small increments to gain accuracy without the ABS codes. If you don't have ready access to a TECH II this is your best bet.

Cheers
Cindy

I put the stock tune on it last night and cleared all the codes. Set the tire size and it's great now. I'm not racing again until the 19th so I can run stock for a while. Thanks for all the replies !!!!!!!!!! Shane I do want to get up with you about the DSP Switch sometime.
