I'm on at work quite a bit and have no problems as long as I'm getting my work done.

Also helps that I set the IT policies.

well seeing how i get paid to be on these forums for 8 hrs a day it's cool for me . BUT my gripe is that the others aren't policed. sales guys aren't supposed to be on ebay or any other non automotive sites, but they are...and nothing gets said to them, yet i click a link to watch someone pull a 1000hp on the dyno and i get bitched at, granted i do have reports to do and product research to worry about but i wanna see a 1000hp pull, go figure by the time i get home i don't even go near the computer.

Back when that Britney Spears coming out of the car with no underwear thing was going on I was informed by my boss that because I am the most internet savvy person in the company I was to spend all the time it took to find the picture.

But I have no issues with browsing the internet

Im at work right now, lol. My lathe is running though. The only other thing I could do is read or sit and stare at the machine..BORING.

Well, i used to use our shop computer to screw around on the net, nothin inapropriate, just diesel stuff and youtube, etc. But we got banned from it except for alldata so when i got my laptop.... Im up and running and sucking off the wireless "teet" :rofl:
Now all he can say is not to do it on company time, just lunch and breaks but i still screw around when im not posta hell, i waste alot of my time waitin on my boss and if im not workin im not gettin paid so might as well huh!
I'm a BMW tech, been for 5ish years, gettin old ...if i were to loose my job he'd be doing me a favor
