I knew that I was going to sacrifice some RPM but when crusing on the highway im running at 2100 RPM at 68 mph... is my only option to go with 3.42 gears?
Problem with 275/60/16 Tires

Ya def. not going to a 6 speed. I barely even drive the truck so it isn't a big deal just at 2100 the exhaust drone is so loud it makes me think the engine is working way too hard
Can't... NO ONE makes 275 or 285 /70/16's in drag racing tires... I would have gone with the Proxes 275/70/16 but they were discontinued so I have to settle for the 275/60/16... my MPG's suck
But I only put about 6,000 miles on it a year.

I wouldn't run those on the street with their load rating & wouldn't run a tire under 30"s.

im taking them to Tahoe this weekend too which Im not really excited about doing.
my toyos are rated at 2800 lbs per tire the same as the load e cooper stt's i ran before , i dont tow with them on but used to drive daily . mine are 30.5 in tall and the gearing is only a touch under what stock was with 245's i think my spedo is off 1 mph . i have heard of people having problems with street none e load tires but i have'nt yet .
My truck weights 6860 with me in it... I might switch in my old tires/wheels for the trip but then again I doubt i;ll have that much time.
I went from 285/75 to a 285/60 on purpose for more gear. From running around 2000rpm's @ 70 with 75's to 2300 rpm's running @ 70 with 60's.
