I guess staging it up to 25psi is to much for the converter? shouldnt it hold that anyhow? And when i say 25psi, it was for probably 3 seconds.

Dude
Woah, 3 seconds at 25psi on the gauge and your foot on the brakes is eternity to that converter, turbine wheel, and brakes, c1 all of it....

I can hardly manage 12-16 psi with my back pressed into the seat literally standing on the brakes, and at that pressure my truck practically leaps off the pavement, i cant imagine what your doing, 12 psi is violent enough for me, and the turbo hits 22+ almost instantly after releasing the brakes, and i am running stock injectors on the same turbo.as you, with a built trans, hope everything works out alright, good luck man, maybe when you get it back together, try a less stressful launch a few times

I have definitely held mine for more then 3 seconds numerous times.

Harbin, you have twins, different story, you can ramp and hold that psi in half the time as me or anyone running a sig 4094....i dont think i could ever hit 25psi staging with stock injectors??? I wouldnt dare try.

Sounds like you cooked the converter good and proper to me. Maybe even took the C1's with it since you say it has reverse but no forward.

poor converter..

too bad there is no video for this, might have been fun to watch

Baahaha...

Sorry dude...:) I've been there and done that. I left the line at 22 psi on a stock trans once also as well...

Just think now you can get a tripple disk and worry about whacking it too...:D

Sitting at that much boost is putting a ton of heat into your transmission. Your engine is making a lot of power, and it has to go somewhere (and it isn't into forward motion). Hope you can get everything refreshed without too much carnage.

i launch blackout around 30psi everytime. no issues
same... leaving around 24-25 psi
I left the line around 30psi a bunch of times with my old ML.
What are you all doing to get traction!?! I leave at ~10 PSI and still spin all 4 tires a bit. I don't even hit WOT until 2nd gear. Even then it sometimes scratches 2nd a bit. Do my tires just suck??? 315 BFGs at 25 psi.

Like I said earlier, they have big twins, it takes a lot more boost to get them spooled up. There 25 psi is like a stock turbos 10 psi launch. I leave at 14 and I spin bad even with nitto 420's and 29 psi all the way around.

it all depends on your converter/ fueling tuning/ tires and how quick your turbo spools. My kit spools quick and I have a tight converter so I leave with less boost. If you are running a big single or big twins with a loose converter you can leave with a lot more

This is a twin turbo truck (Willie Lewis in the running for 2013 DPC VOTE FOR HIM!!!!) s366/s480 10psi launch.

Yeah, as you can see fat laggy pig. After he spool its a different story.

Twin are different beast to launch.

I would say a 25 psi launch on twin is more like a 12-15 psi single launch... 10 psi on stocker is pretty "soft"

my old tires were nitto 420s but the suspension was dialed in properly with the shocks adjusted and caltracs, etc.

i ran 31 psi in all 4 at the track.

This was last year in Billing running the 11.90 index. i left at around 28psi and as you can see i was there for more than 3 seconds lol.

What shocks are you running? I think my main problems is my shocks. I know they are worn out I just want to know what are some good adjustable shocks.

I use front limiting straps and my truck hooks good with 4 ply 265/70/17's. I can pull off 1.7 60' times pretty consistantly in my cc/lb and that was with the stock charger and ml converter.
