Has anybody noticed a high trans temp after installing the plug and if so how much? Planning to add mine but also have a long trip to MN coming up and wondered if she will run much warmer on a long drive?

On a 95 deg day my temps were around 190 in stop and go traffic. I was using a dummy solenoid.

it should. seen about a 15ish* jump in temp out here

I’m starting to think trans temps gauges aren’t accurate
On my moms LML I saw no difference in trans temp with the plug. On my truck with a 3500 stall converter and trans pressure really high I’ve never seen over 185 even on a 100* day.

Best way to check trans temps are with a sensor in the pan with a dedicated gauge. Nothing else is acurate.

Not even the temp sensor in the PSM read with sonething like a tech 2 or V2/Autocal?

Sent from my 2PZC5 using Tapatalk

Tech2 will read from the same sensor as the gauge plus; the sensor is mounted on the PSM which will read heat sink. You are reading the temp of the valve body. We want to know what the fluid temp is. We need to know if the cooling system is working.

wonder if you could cut/splice the temp wiring into an aftermarket sender so the stock gauge still worked without any additional gauges. be also curious if the now faster changing temp would then have an affect on shifting or other tcm parameters based off trans temp

That would be great if we could utilize the already internal gauge to read from a different sensor in the pan. We just need a giny pig to try it first and tell us if it shifts different
