i was born in the "transitioning years" of the generations it seems. no one gives an exact cut off and start that holds consistency. So far as im concerned, im a generation X so im not associated with you fools :roflmao:

Don't deny your true identity. You're a millenial! The latest ending year I've seen for Gen X is 81, which makes me safe. :D

Do I need to get you some play doh and a coloring book now? :baby:

I just read a news story and the headline reads "People Magazine faces backlash after publishing Donald Trump cover". What in the world has this world come to? They can put this guy on there and no backlash????

Classic case or agism and generationism. James and I both identify as 42 year old black women.

I find it hard to have a conversation with anyone under 30. Most of that generation is so far out of touch with reality it makes me angry. No one to blame but the parents.

I'm only 23 but I'll agree. He is only one I can have a sane conversation with. Has more common sense than most. If I didn't have this site to read or him I would have a lot less faith in people (not that I have much anyway)

Who would protest if Trump lost? Everybody I know who voted for him works for a living to support their family and they ain't got time to protest.

2x

i wouldn't like it but would live with it until the next election.

from my understanding, most if not all of the protesting, trouble making, rioting, etc that occurred during the Trump rallies was caused by hillery supporters or paid by her staff. these people believe that they are entitled to the government hand outs and should not have to work for them.

the Trump supporters are mostly made up of the working class and know that in order to get something one has to work for it. nothing is free.

oboma, hillery and other associated politicians have tricked or brainwashed much of our younger generation and may of the aliens, illegal or not, into thinking that the government is there to take care of them, provide for them and protect them. it is this attitude that is eroding our culture and nation.

I agree, partly. Depends on who you talk to. I'm 28, most my friends are under 30, the difference is we all have JOBS, and worked to get where we are. I really only have 3 friends who aren't mechanics or police / military.

Trust me, I've seen some GenX adults who are just as pu$$ified as most these millennials. It's all in how you were raised.

I dont know about that, when I was growing up the word millennial hadn't been defined yet. Far as I'm concerned millennials started in the 90's. only the kids 21 and younger it seems are the shithead millenials. I work with about 100 of them I know one when I see one.

I don't know when you were growing up, but this is what Wikipedia says:

Authors William Strauss and Neil Howe are widely credited with naming the Millennials.[1] They coined the term in 1987, around the time children born in 1982 were entering preschool, and the media were first identifying their prospective link to the new millennium as the high school graduating class of 2000.[2] They wrote about the cohort in their books Generations: The History of America's Future, 1584 to 2069 (1991)[3] and Millennials Rising: The Next Great Generation (2000).[2]

In August 1993, an Ad Age editorial coined the phrase Generation Y to describe those who were aged 11 or younger as well as the teenagers of the upcoming ten years who were defined as different from Generation X.[4][5] According to Horovitz, in 2012, Ad Age "threw in the towel by conceding that Millennials is a better name than Gen Y",[1] and by 2014, a past director of data strategy at Ad Age said to NPR "the Generation Y label was a placeholder until we found out more about them".[6] Millennials are sometimes called Echo Boomers,[7] due to them being the offspring of the baby boomers and due to the significant increase in birth rates from the early 1980s to mid 1990s, mirroring that of their parents. In the United States, birth rates peaked in August 1990[8][9] and a 20th-century trend toward smaller families in developed countries continued.[10][11] In his book The Lucky Few: Between the Greatest Generation, and the Baby Boom, author Elwood Carlson called this cohort the "New Boomers".

Being 34 may still put me in the "Millennials" category but I sure don't think like them.

That offended me so much I've had to park the tractor, go to my safe space and pet my dog while constructing a Mrs. Bill Clinton doll out of Play-Doh. Though I ran out of Play-Doh before I could build her the White House. :D

Just build her house out of dog shit I'm sure she won't mind or even notice, should have plenty of it laying around:thumb:

What wiki says and what I see on a daily basis are two different things.

I was just poking some fun at James. I wasn't insinuating anything about anyone who may or may not have been born during the years of the millenails. I know plenty of people well outside those years who are worthless, and I know plenty who are most definitely well within that range who are hard working people. There's nothing wrong with being a millenial and nothing better about being from generation X. People shouldn't let labels define who they are and how they live their lives, and I don't think anyone here is guilty of that.

Was there a lot of protesting when Obama was elected twice???

There is no comparison between the Obama Mit/McCain election and this election. Do you recall how the Trump supporter treated Cruze after he wouldn't back Trump? They got nasty. Trump was playing the victim card the whole election. He would of ramped that up 10 fold if he lost. He said the protesters where " unfair" last night. What a spineless turd. He probably won't do crap other then blame Obama for the next 4 years when he doesn't do anything he said he would do.

Do I feel resentment in your voice? Obviously you don't care for Trump. I can agree he may not be the best if people but I can say that he believes in our country. He believes the constitution meant something. He may even believe there is a god and he's important. Bottom line he has never been a politician and he does know how to make money and the concept of how a business runs. Everyone should be able to agree our country has been going down hill really fast since Obama was elected. We have too much government, too many unpaid bills, and leaders you don't give a crap if the common person can survive and less and the elderly than that. Maybe it will start a trend towards making America a respected nation that people can live their dreams instead of drown in someone else's entitlement concepts.

No resentment, but your right I don't care for him.

I don't think he can inspire change in our nation. He will be a divisive president at a minimum. Maybe he can slow our dissent into socialism though. Hopefully he isn't so divisive though that we lose the next elections or we are FUBAR all over again.

Well he's under the freeloaders/illegals skin all ready... Id say so far he's a step in the right direction.

I'll take my chances... It's hell of alot better than the alternative.

8 years ago I was disappointed with my countries choice and then again 4 years ago... Each time I just said "Not my choice but lets hope he does a good job" I'll extend this president the same courtesy:thumb:
