I have a ppe xcelerator hot +2 et on my truck right now but am looking at getting efi live at some point but I want it with the edge evo for the monitoring capabilities i.e. mpg. trans temp. egt

my question is if I get the cts can I use it for a monitor and still use my ppe or would it be better to set the truck back to stock tune and just use the cts programmer until I get efi live

my trucks pretty much stock other than 30% injectors 5in turbo back and banks intake all opinions/experience much appreciated

You can get an Edge Insight, which is just the monitor (ie no tuning)

ok that's good to know thanks I wasn't sure this is the first programmer ive ever touched and don't know a lot about them just trying to get as much info before I waste a bunch of money

would the evo work better performance wise for me im still running a stock trans and the ppe likes to limp it in anything above tune 5 would the evo be cleaner/less harsh on the trans or would they stay about the same

You can also use an aeroforce interceptor 52mm gauge to monitor data from, instead of having to mount the insight screen.

The interceptor can monitor 100+ parameters, two per screen and up to 4 screens for a total of 8 parameters.

Here's a pic of the gauge in my trailblazer, I custom made that gauge pod from JB Plastic weld:D

Does performance stats too, this is a run from my stock Trailblazer SS

Huh? That's crappy, I even see the pics in your post that quoted my post?

I've never used any other form of photo sharing, but I suppose I could download them to the forum and post them that way if your interested, it'll take a few minutes to do that

IDK if it's the same for everyone's devise, but sometimes when I see that someone posted a pic or vid and the space is blank, if I try to click or tap in various places in the blank area, the photo or vid winds up loading to a different screen...

But here's a few pics that I had on my iPhone, the first pic in my other post I had the areoforce set to have the opening screen display "DURAMAX turbo diesel"

I have it set up to display "SS" right now and in one of these pics it's set up to display "Trailblazer SS" there is about 15 different logos to choose from for several manufactures

Anyways, to the pics already:

Ah, the phone must be smarter, lol
Cool man, I'm really impressed and happy with this gauge, I've found it to be very accurate and helpful for various tasks.

It can data log for a short amount of time and hook up and download to say, HPTuner pro, maybe even an EFI-live V2?

It also can retrieve and clear trouble codes, and a few other things lie reset fuel trim on a gasser, I wonder if it would do a VATTS relearn? IDK? You can buy accessory hardware to monitor EGT, boost, AFR and a few other things

It fits in a standard gauge pod, comes with a black and white face, you have the choice of different colors for the display and font and whatever color scheme you choose can be inverted at any time

I love this gauge and just wanted to share the option, cuz I feel like it's a much more attractive option than an Edge insight and equally as useful.

those look real good nice job you said you can use up to 8 of those or one to display 8 different "screens"

So, the gauge come as a single gauge or in a "dual gauge kit" which tie together into one OBD2 cable and work together.

The gauge(s) have the ability to run in a standalone set up, say to monitor just one or two functions off of a controler(s) for EGT and boost, or to be powered by and gather data from the OBD2 port.

If you run one (or two in a dual gauge set up) off the OBD2 port, you cN see everything the ECM and TCM see as far as recorded and monitored data.

Then, the gauge can be set up to show a single screen that displays two parameters, you can scroll through ALL the parameters (104 IIRC) at any time via buttons on the side of the gauge face, the left button scrolls the top display, the right button scrolls the bottom display.

OR, you can set it up to cycle parameters, up to 8 and the gauge will cycle through 4 screens with 2 parameters per screen at a rate of time per screen you choose. You choose the parameters to be seen, you can adjust what parameters you want to be seen at any time, but it does take a few minutes cuz you have to go through the set up all four screens even if you only want to change one parameter. The parameters don't change when you go to change the set up, you have to actively choose to change them, you just have to cycle through the whole dang set up which is my ONLY gripe about the gauge.

The single gauge is $250, the dual gauge set up is like $390?

As soon as I can afford it, I'm switching the gauges in my triple gauge pillar out to all areoforce gauges...

I'm Happy to share something that I think is cool with others, I don't think these gauges have been seen or talked about very much, if at all, on this forum...

Excellent! I've been jonesing for an edge monitor to replace my single SPA dual digital gauge I have in a steering column mount. I may just have to replace it with one of these new-fangled Aeroforce jobs and be done with it.

The caveat is I need a new DSP5 switch because my SoCal switch has quit working and as a result, stays on the base tune. Luckily my DSP file is setup to where the big tune is the base tune. :) So, my hang up is I like the idea of using the Edge monitor as a DSP5 switch with EFI Live. I also like that you can easily add an el cheapo ebay camera and use th edge monitor as a backup camera on the cheap. However, I also need to replace my stereo in the truck because the "band" button quit working and is stuck on AM which is no bueno. So I could just get a headunit that has backup camera capabilities, get a new seperate DSP5 switch and get one of these aeroforce gauges or get an edge monitor and regular stereo.

So now IDK what I'm gonna do. LOL
