power steering fluid....

I have an 06 LBZ. I'd like to top off the power steering fluid ( just a tad low) and the only fluid types I can find on here are GM part numbers. What about fluid from a parts store? I have some that says "can be mixed with any non-synthetic power steering fluid". Can I use that or should I run down some GM specific?

I just use tranny fluid works fine.

I have heard your not suppose to use ATF. I would take the time to flush the old stuff out and put in some good syn PS fluid.

There is a difference between the ATF and PSF. These trucks take the PSF. Many of the newer Dodges use ATF. They shouldn't be mixed. We do have a synthetic PSF as an option.
