Anyone running an on board air setup? Got mine all ordered for this truck and doing it different than last setup. Curious where people are putting their tank(s). I got two 5 gal tanks I will be running with an Air Zenith OB2 compressor and smc valves. Air psi comes from 2 pressure transducers all wired to my CTS2 monitor (well at least Edge says I can format them to work in My Style software). No air lines in the cab this go around.

Hoping to put tanks where spare tire was but this truck has more heat shields than last one.

I use a York 210 A/C compressor as an air pump. It is a kit I bought from Little Shop Mfg. It loses a lot of oil (because A/C compressor), so I run it through a moisture trap after the check valve and pressure switch.

Every 30 minutes of runtime or so I dump the oil out of the trap and top off the compressor. Because this thing moves so much air, it is not a big deal, as 30 minutes of runtime is enough to adjust my airbags for years, or to fill all my tires multiple times. Really it is only annoying if I'm running air tools off it.

And again because it moves so much air, I can run a small tank and not eat up too much space in the truck. It is mounted outboard of the frame rail near the middle cab mount, and my AirDog is mounted inside the frame next to it (you can see the bracket in the photo of the tank).

I’ve got a vaiair 450c and 3 gal tank in my tool box. Ran air chucks to the middle of the middle body mounts on the frame. Thing SUCKs to fill up anything other than quad tires. Really just used it for my train horns. The motor or piston is finally dieing though because it takes a lot of amperage to get it going now.

Anymore I just use the air compressor in my trailer or bring the 20lbs co2 tank I keep in the tracker for wheeling.

I know the top 2 are used for welding lead, but are you using those for trailer power? That would work out better for me than Anderson connectors for trailer winch power. Sorry OT.

I have a set of jumper cables just over 20' that I made. I cut them in half and joined them back together with welding connectors. The welding connectors in the bed are for my jumper cables. I don't use them on any trailers as of yet

The bottom connection is for my gooseneck

OK just to update for anyone who cares or for people later on....

DO NOT BUY AIR ZENITH!

They are complete shit and their customer service is just as shit. Going back to Gen 2 Viair 425c's and be done with it. AZ lasted a year. Had it sent out under warranty that I had to pay shipping on and came back worse than before. Took it apart and it was all used parts that were bad from the get go. Will never deal with them again. Especially Paul. Just an FYI for anyone on the fence. Ive had Viair in the past and never had any issues. Just didnt want two compressors this time. Lesson learned I guess.

Horn Blasters on the other hand are AMAZING people to work with. They are the ones making this ordeal right. NOT Air Zenith.
