Ive limped my transmission before and it cause the range shift inhibited to show up. I also limped it quite a few times on an old predator 80 HP tune. Id say turn it down if you going to beat it up, or dont drive hard in the higher gears.

He has a shift kit installed. Should easily handle the power he was running at the time.

I've never found the Transgo jr do much on its own. What was the condition of the trans before install? If the trans was beat on before the Transgo; it's too late.
The Transgo jr can only leak main line pressure to control main ( much lower pressure. This only happens to the C3/C4 clutch pack. 2nd,3rd,and 5th, and 6th.
If there was any glazing of the clutches before install; too late as it is worthless.
Remember that a 69.00 box of parts will not save you.

Not sure on the condition of the trans prior to me purchasing the truck. I believe it was a pipeline truck. So I am assuming it was primarily used for towing. Purchased it with 230,000 miles on it. Prior to the Transgo Jr. install the tranny was hesitating a bit half way through the 3rd to 4th shift. Transgo Jr. improved this issue, but it is still present. Other than that everything has been great. I have run hotter tunes on it and haven't limped it, but when I was hardly working it it decided to limp obviously. These two times are the only times I have ever limped the transmission.

I really appreciate all the help. I am going to hopefully get access to a Tech 2 this week and try to do more diagnosis on the stuff you advised.
