Went out and truck was fine, hopped in and noticed it was right away. Stabilitrak light on, service traction control, trans clunks, seems like it's stuck in 2nd or 3rd, no line under trans shift indicator, etc. Code off my efilive is U0101. Now I read that it's the TCM thats bad. Not sure if it's the same for all the Allison TCM but i tested for continuity between pins 9 and 69 on the tcm and did get continuity. Tried to flash back a stock tune into the tcm and the efilive won't even recognize the TCM. I need some help guys, don't want to buy TCM if thats not the problem.

Oh it's a 2011 LML and while driving the locks keep locking and there is a clicking under the driver side dash. But when truck goes below about 8mph the dic warnings and the locks locking all goes away. then when you hit 8mph it all comes back.

Thats what i'm thinking. So even with the internal ground is checking good you think it's still bad? Can I flash a new TCM with EFIive or do i need to have GM flash it first. Is there anyway to actually troubleshoot it more?

I unplugged batteries for few hours and it works fine now. I know it will come back just wondering if yours did that too, of unhook batteries or let it cool down it works.

Unhooking batterys does nothing except give you false hope.

Get the delco one and it can be handled with EFILive just make sure to flash with the V8 software using pass through then the vin# can be fixed in the V7.5 scan tool.

Yes. You need a license for each controller. However, you might have some spare tcm licenses. Depending on what you have (V2 or Autocal) and how many trucks you have tuned.

Bringing this back up since I had the same issue this morning. Exact same symptoms, limped it back home and will check continuity on the pins after I get home from work. If I end up needing a new TCM is there one less prone to failure over another? If I understand correctly, I have to flash it to have the vin# match and this can be done through efi?
