Got my sleeves on no problem, but the threads on both sides of the tie rod ends seem to be F&*KED. threaded on the end nuts by hand as far as i could get them, then started with the rachet wrench... they never got any tighter and seemed striped, so i tried to loosen them and they just turn and turn and turn and never come off the stud. so now when the truck is jacked up off the ground the rod ends have alot of free travel where they connect to the wheel assembly. also i can now look out the drivers window and look at the tire when im sitting at a stoplight, i turn the wheel back and fourth and its the total opposite of smooth... the tires have a dead spot in when turnin back and fouth ( from where the bolts arent tight).......

anybody else have this trouble??

by the way there is NO way i striped the threads from over tightening, unless my fingers are stronger than an impact gun... and the threads looked perfect shape when i started the job.

any ideas on what needs to be done now???

the sleeves replace the nut. If you have the nut on there, I dont see how you could have got the sleeves and tie rod end back on where they are susposed to be (theres no room unlees yo uhave short tie rod sleeves).

Also I am not understanding what you are trying to say?

did you get the tie rod end back tight to the spindle?

I left the nut on mine. I used the nut to jam the sleeve and do the alignment.

like said above you should be able to get a small wrench(10- 12 mm iirc) on the stud that goes up into the whole . the reason I know is because mine would not tighten up either cuz of corrosion up here in maine . if you cant get a wrench on it any pliers should work as there are no threads way up on the tip , once you get the tie rod somewhat tight it will stop spinning and you can snug up as much as you need
