Read and read some more. Download and browse the program. Then read a bunch more. Use the search feature of this site or Google to search for table names and read up on what they do. Then purchase equipment and read the instructions. Then obtain your stock tune and make the small changes that you read about. Then upload it to the truck. Test it out. Make another small change, upload it and see how it reacts.

After a few hundred modifications and uploads, logging and testing you might have a decent running truck.

Tuning is no joke and only a few get good at it. That's why it was sad to see the few pushing the envelope pull out. Much of what they learned may be lost forever and have to be "rediscovered" by others such as yourself if you stick to it long enough. Having compound turbos will make it a bit harder to dial in so you are already climbing uphill

Oh, and don't forget to read a lot before making any changes. And then read a bit more
Thanks for the response. What materials should I start reading?

ezlynk can have the switch too. Might as well give it a try but be easy until you know what it's doing

It’s so tempting and I keep going back and forth whether or not to mess with the switch. What if I can’t get back to current tune?

It's a switch, is it not? Just take note of which position it is in before changing it
Obviously, I’m scared that the current tune would be lost and I’d be stuck with whatever is on the switch. I like how the truck runs now I need to be able to come back to this time. I’ll try it though.

That's not how it works. The tune is not held in volatile memory

Unfortunately, you're kind of stuck unless you can find someone outside of the US to make you a new tune. Since the truck had the ez-link (and the twins), I imagine its not running stock tuning. If it was a LMM or older, AND the tune wasn't read locked, AND it wasn't a DSP5 tune, you could buy your own EFILive V3, read the tune and make the changes yourself, but being a LML, you can't just read the tune out no matter what. Unless you can get the ez-link situation straightened out, it seems like your only option is to start from scratch, either on your own or if you can find someone to write a new tune for you.

Thanks for the response unfortunately I think you’re right. Fortunately the truck runs pretty good where it’s at. Supposedly it’s on the most economical tune that he had. If so I can’t imagine how it would run with a performance tune or tow tune cause it’s pretty nutty where it’s at. Just outta curiosity do you have any idea what kind of horsepower and torque a guy can expect out of a twin set up like this?

I'm going to guess 700-800hp and maybe around 1400 lb/ft. But really depends on what turbo(s) are used and tuning

Unless you open it and jump the security pins. Then you get a short period where it will let you read it. I believe that's how the first ones made it into the wild
