One more thing I have noticed is when I have the ignition on and put the selector to Drive then To manual it will show its in gear 5. If I go all the way down to 1st and back to M it will show its in 1st. The truck isnt stuck in 5th before I shut it off.

Im ready to pull the whole thing out, I would hate to tear it apart for no reason though.

Update: I tried to use EFI to moniter OSS but I cant select any trans pids. I have the current update I think 7.5.5 build 80 but all the pids have an X through them.

Anyways Ill try replacing the sensor this week there only 11 bucks. I have my doubts that is the problem Im thinkin I may have roasted my C1 clutchs. Only code thus far is is p0722.

Maybe sheck your harness upstream from the plug? Might have damaged it somehow... Maybe re-seat the TCM connector too...

Thnks for the responses. Ive re-set the TCM several times no luck. Ive pulled apart every plug from the trans up to the TCM and cleaned everything still no luck.

Hopefully its the sensor seems like a long shot but who knows. If that doesn't do the trick Ill pull it out.

it is the IMS box on the tranny that goes bad in the 04's cause its on the outside and weather and mud gets into it and causes crazy stuff to happen like that. the new allisons the IMS is located on the inside to prevent that....i know this cause the box cracked on mine while i was unpluging it to take the tranny out and the guy who manages the allison plant down here that lives near me stopped and took a peak and he told me what it was and all the stuff i just said above..it happen to his too

Ok now Im just confused. I guess I need to rule out the OSS sensor first before I pull the trans. I just cant get any stupid PIDS to come up on EFI to check...

It pops the 0722 code continuously, that being said if I drive the truck and put any foot into it in gears 1-3 it will slip and eventually throw an incorrect gear ratio code for whichever gear its in.

gears 4-6 feel fine and the converter locks fine.
