Was out playin in the mud last night (pretty hard:eek:) and now Im having some problems.

When i put the truck in drive it takes a few seconds to engage in gear then it will jump out of gear into nuetral and pop up the S.R.I message.

I didnt really notice anything last night I drove it home last night now she dont want to move this morning.

Think I got mud somewhere or am I gonna have to pull it out and tear into it?

Hopefully thats whats goin on. Im gonna crawl under it and see if I find anything out of the ordinary.

I did have to lift the whole truck up with a back-hoe to get it unstuck last night.:angel:

Got a code finally. p0722: output speed sensor circuit no signal. I checked the connection seemed to be fine.

Any ideas?

Thats on the T-case(at least it is on the 5sp). Is that the one you checked?

You could go through and clean all connectors.

Just throwing out ideas -

Could it be caused from spinning the tires in 4wd, mine will set a "service abs" light after spinning in the mud/snow at times.

Maybe that is due to the speed sensor, incorrect reading between the wheel sensor to the speed sensor.......don't know how that would affect the trans though

The ABS light did pop on for a while that night. Im not sure what to try next.

How would I go about testing the speed sensors to make sure they are working correctly?

Maybe try a reflash and see what happens. It may be a good idea to start fresh.

The truck now will stay engaged in gear sort of. I took it for a drive and it will shift through the gears fine. However if I put any foot into it at all the rpms jump up truck will accelerate but nothing like it should.

Doesnt throw any codes while I was driving it, feels like its slipping but no codes, it will do this in any gear.

Need to put a Tech 2 on it and check the output speed sensor. You might even have a TC problem. If the tone wheel is loose it will give an incorrect reading to the TCM and cause a slip.
