Your "current" power level wouldn't necessitate the p2 hub, but you say you sled pull alot, and i imagine more power will be produced in the future, so i am of the mentality "do it once and for all" do the planet fix.

If your on a budget I would skip on the billet planet but do the re-enforced c-2 hub with the band and machined p-1 gear , for 300 bucks its a nice upgrade . We have pushed a few trucks over 1k hp and they have held up good with stock planet and the re-enforced hub .

The Suncoast P2 hub with pressed on bushing will not hold much more than stock when the ECM tuning is wrong. Their planet is strong. Billet hub is the answer for bad tuning and bad trans building.

Mike l. since im getting it built by a good shop now, i shouldnt worry about the p2 hub orplanet fix kit. so just run the gmax 5/3 percison converton with billet input and flex plate and trans go and ill be ok?

You should worry about ECM tuning and C2/C3 clutch setup. Buying a kit and installing it is hit and miss.
I love how most guys post that they built their trans, but all they did was install a bunch of parts out of a box. They have no idea what they did, what it does, or how it works. Most kits need to be modified as every trans is slightly different. Building a trans requires full understanding of how everything works and how every little thing changes things.
Most all the diesel shops are now building transmissions for the money and have no idea what they are doing. How do I know? I get all the phone calls when the shit doesn't work which is quite often. I talk to my buddy at Suncoast and you wouldn't believe the big name shops that don't know shit about the Allison and try to build them for money but can't fix them.
I do all the tech calls for PPE and I run into the same thing.
If you guys only knew what is going on out there.
Good luck guys.:D

X2 mike. Every shop i talked to said they could build an allison....i dont think so, i wouldn't trust a "local" shop to rebuild an allison back to stock let alone for performance...unless that shop had some press getting it done before. Like mike at inglewood, dave at ultimate and a handfull, just a handfull of others. Do your research, a built trans has to do a brutal job, make sure who puts it together is in the know, cuz your gonna spend alot to get it done. I had my truck towed to another state to get this procedure done, that may sound pretty drastic, it was. It was worth it.
