What pistons are you guys running for a truck that will be 90% track don't know if I should go forged or cast and where would I go about getting a set of fingers pistons?

With as many people making big power numbers with fingers cast pistons i see no point in forged IMO

SoCal can get them, ATP, Danville...I'm sure others are able as well, typically they're not an on the shelf item and have a several week lead time...

When I got mine they where on back order for a while, I was not in a hurry at the time so the wait didn't matter. I have not ran them yet I have heard they have a different sound to them. I'm excited to see how they do, I am a little worried abt the low compression for a street truck, we will see

Talk to mark at Danville about low compression. Check out some of his YouTube videos of his truck with low compression pistons. I wouldn't worry about it.

I have talked to a few people, I'm not overly concerned with it, it's a street toy won't see much track or dyno time. I just intended to have a nasty toy that I don't have to worry when someone pulls next to me... Sorry if this derailed the trend

Danville had mine sitting on the shelf when I did my build. You may want to call them. If they don't have them in stock they can get them. Mine are cast 15.5/1 with valve reliefs.

I try to keep the blanks in stock, but I outrun Mahle's production frequently. I usually can cut and ship the pistons the same day provided I have the blanks to work with. All orders are custom cut unless someone else is stocking pistons.

As of right now, I only know of Danville stocking already cut pistons. Primarily for their in house builds.

Somewhat close to you is Diesel Addiction, give them a call if you want someone reasonably close.

DHD is useing wiseco in there pullers.

NGM is useing Wiseco as well for drag.

I'll be using them in my build as well.

At this point in time I use the finger cast in everything 15.5comp and up. Fingers forged in the 15.0-12.8:1 comp motors. Really happy with the results to this time with them!
