This is one of the reasons I'm converting mine to a regular GPCM. for the fed LB7s it's just two relays.....no more pos GPCM. I'm taking mine in next week to get my cali one replaced, then I'll sell it.

I have an 04 California truck. Can I replace mine too like what you are going to do? I'm none too familiar with the gpcm other than it being in the way all the time

Mine is the same, 03 Cali crap system.

I'm going to lott at the wiring diagrams and see what all is different, it may be a simple cut and splice. I'm sure some efi work will be in order though. the cali GPCM has separate leads to each GP where the fed just has one wire to each bank and a buss bar hooked to the GPs. I'm take all the cali crap off and installing a fed wire harness to make it easy. I'll let you know what I come up with....

Definently bring it to a different dealer. They can prove you tuned your truck, even if you say you didn't and unfortunately they have the power in this situation even with the Magnussen Moss Act. But I believe this dealer you are discussing is stingy, find a better dealer.
