Has anyone got this unit yet? Thinking about it in my 2011 LML but had some questions for someone smarter than me.

I want to keep EVERYTHING I have now as far as functionality goes meaning steering wheel controls, Bose amp for speakers, BT speaker, ect... I seen the Maestro iDatalink looks to retain all of that plus display the engine PIDs and other stuff on the HU itself. The link I was looking at is here .

Does that look right? Also will this allow me to just buy a rear monitor for the kids and just hook it up to the HU somehow (Video output?)? I like the dual audio function. How would I add a headphone hook up in the rear for that as well (just the video aspect)? Suggestions on a decent monitor? Bigger size if possible (10"+). My baby girl is rear facing so do they make like a wireless additional monitor to add to rear window for temporarily use?

I want to add subs nder rear crew cab seat. Thats straight forward like old school setups right? Grab my rear preouts and go? I can still keep door speakers and front sub on Bose?

Just trying to see what all is needed before I get it all. Ive been out of the audio world for awhile and man its changed...lol. Pretty damn sweet now but will take me damn near a full day just to figure out how it all works.

Basically just trying to make all OEM controls work, add monitor in rear for kids, add 3.5mm headphone jack for kids (if possible) and add subs under rear seat.

I have this in my LBZ. It looks nice and does what I want it to. If I were to buy it again, I'd buy a more expensive model with the built in NAV. I don't like how when connected via bluetooth that I have limited functions via the UI. But for $500, it is a nice HU. The 4200NEX can do dual zone video and hooking up amps and subs is the same as anything else.

As for keeping all your truck's functions, you need to do your own research or use something like Crutchfield's site to tell you what you need. IMO trying to retain the stock BOSE amp is a waste of time/money and Maestro is overpriced when compared to the Metra equivalent solutions.

How hard is it to replace the Bose amp? Plug and play or have to hard wire every speaker to the amp?

What limited functions are there for maps? Dont you have the option to mirrorlink or similar with these or was that just previous model? I wouldnt be using maps too often just here and there if at all.

You could find the wires running into the amp and tap in there. I installed components front and rear, with an amp on the back wall and decided to run new wires.

Mirror link requires you to have an Apple digital AV dongle if you have an iPhone. Mine lasted 2 months before the wire broke. Mirrorlink does everything your phone does (obviously). Bluetooth though, you won't be able to see all your channels (Pandora) as an example of limited functionality.
