Picked up trailer today

I set my Kauffman up when empty on the truck the deck right behind the neck was 1-2" above the deck in between the trailer tandems. When loaded it was 0-1" below trailer tandems deck height..
Another point of reference.. Leaf springs on the 10 and older trucks seam to have a sweat spot with top of the truck frame about 31-32" off the ground with 32" tires. Puts the OEM bumpstops about 2-3" off the axle. Truck is loaded enough to fully work the spring without bottoming out or bounce off the overload spring on the bottom of the spring pack.

Seam like you got enough straps on there..
If you prefer straps... Look into wheel straps that go over/around the tires..

I prefer chains. 5/16" grade 70,(4700#wll) with lever/ratcheting binders.
1-20'
2-10'
4-binders
Would be plenty for one truck and allow you to have 4 point securement.

Swing by Lowe's/home depots see if they got some scrap carpet in carpet area, put it between the straps and steel.. It will help protect the straps. Probably find some rubber/carpet throw Mats at like dollar general/family dollar/dollar tree they usually sell them in a 12" x24" size for 1-2 bucks. Cut them up in strips to use to protect the straps

I was planning on using chains around the rear axle but with the brake lines and stuff there is no good spot to put them without messing shit up. Good idea on the carpet.

I prefer to strap the tires down, that way the truck doesn't move around on rough roads.

I have four axle straps on it, should be good to hold down the tires. Then the straps on the tow hooks and bumper, the truck does not move. I thought about those straps though but could not find them on short notice.

I either loop it around between hub/spring pad or next to dif housing. With enough loop as to no catch the brake lines.. Usually means threading the chain/straps between axle andnlines

Well I found some chain and binders so the plan now is to use the four axle straps with 3" ratchet straps and then a chain through the hitch cross member on the back and a chain to each tow hook in the front.

Well looks like I need to figure out a winch, the trans smoked on the truck. I got lucky and still had reverse so was able to load backwards. What size will work, the truck is 7200lbs.

9k would be the smallest for that weight. Heavier is better. If you can swing the cost of a 12k or bigger, go for it. mount a deep cycle marine battery in the neck well and run a separate battery charger like for the trailer brake battery. this way you can keep the power wires short to the winch and not have to run long lead jumper cables from the engine bay.

you can get the t-bolt style transport/tow truck chains with to hook into the frame rails for the rear of the truck. looking at your loaded picture..... do you cross your chains for front and rear tie points..?? right side of trailer to left side of truck. I have done this with many vehicles and haven't had any movement at all that with them tied down that way....

I have a Smittybuilt 8k winch on my gooseneck trailer and has no problem pulling a CCSB with a Duramax up on the trailer.
