Picked up a new ride today

I haven't owned a bike for a few years, but I decided I wanted to get one. I just picked up a V Star 950 this evening. I like it so far. I'm hoping it'll save me some money commuting back and forth to classes. I don't have any pictures of it, but these are off their website.

Brand new. Don't know what the top speed is yet. I'm trying to be good and get a few miles on it before I really lay into it. :angel: I've had it up to 90, and it was pulling pretty hard when I let off. It's not a rocket, but it runs alright. Went for a ride today with my sister and brother in law and some of their friends. I have about 170 miles on it now. I think I'm gonna have to get a new seat for it that's a little less firm. After about 30 minutes my butt starts to go numb, but other than that, it's a blast.

I drive about 100 miles round trip 3 times a week to school, plus some regular running around. At 50 MPG, this thing will pretty much pay for itself in what it saves me on fuel. Besides that, I don't think I'm gonna build another motor. If this one goes bye-bye, the truck will also go bye-bye... Or at least all the go fast goodies will. :baby:

That's what I was thinking too, but some of the guys I was riding with the other day that's been riding for a while said it wouldn't. I'll give it a little while and see what happens. And thanks for the compliment.
