So Photobucket is turning off third party hosting, unless you want to upgrade for the meager cost of $399.99 per year.

I've had my photobucket account for as long as I can remember, a lot of my thread posts have pics that are hosted there. Needless to say, there may be a couple posts with no pics, in the near future (on this forum and a few others).

It was fun while it lasted.

You and everyone else who's ever linked photos to their threads. Pretty shitty of PB to do it.

Photobucket completely ****ing ruined every internet forum ever, when I go to look at any picture in the search they are all gone, years worth of threads with detailed pictures all gone.

No luck getting the chrome extension to work tried desktop and mobile chrome.

Yeah I'm pretty damn upset, Everytime I need to look something up it ends in me pissed off and hating photobucket. If I win the lotto I'll buy them and burn it to the ground and shit in the ashes

You buy it. I'll light the match.

Someone suggested using Imgur. That did nothing but confuse me.

I am still using PB for free. My notice is coming im sure though. Lol

use google chrome as a web browser and then add this extension to chrome. been using it since last Thursday and all the links show up from PB.

if it still doesnt work, you will need to clear your cache, then close the browser/s and reopen. should work then

Yeah, I so pissed, I do know whether to shit or wind my watch!

I do appreciate the ideas of using other hosting sites, but my thing is, I would have to go back and redo every post I ever linked a image out of my PB account.

Diesel pick ups are just one of my "things", I've posted pictures on numerous other forums, from old Cub Cadets garden tractors to snowmobiles, etc etc

Oh well. No sense sweating it.

I pulled all my photos out of Photo*ucket, deleted my account, and set up my own site that works pretty much the same as Photo*ucket did - except I can link photos without paying $400/yr.

That's one thing they really didn't think about. You can get a domain name for $15 or less a year. Get a basic hosting plan for $5-10 a month and get 10gigs or more storage and do it on your own.

Having it on desktop will be good enough for me then, even if they made a fix for Tapatalk I'll never download it again that app is garbage imo

So you're saying that if you use Google Chrome with some sort of add-on, the pics show back up? That it somehow overrides PB's extortion bullshit?
How can that be?
