BTW - anyone know the cheapest place to get a replacement 08 tow mirror? I'd rather not put in a claim if I can pick up the mirror cheap and figure out how to replace it on my own.

Thanks,
Bill

I use ebay or gmpartsdirect. make sure it's the actual GM mirror on ebay though. there are several vendors with "factory" mirrors that ain't all that.

Thanks - I'll stay away from ebay on this one. Where it's a new truck - I want to make sure I don't have any issues with the mirror when I get it. I'll look into GMPartsDirect, but fro some reason, their shipping and handling costs to my house or work are usually ridiculous. I think I need to do some searching on DP - I thought someone recommended another site that was gm but cheaper shipping (partsonline.com or something similar).

I'm so anal about the condition of my truck that looking at the crushed mirror is killing me.
