On the upper valve covers where the pcv hoses come out there's a little plate. Well oil was starting to seep out of this so i removed the plate and there is this little gasket that also serves as a valve/diaphragm with a spring in there too. My pcv is already re routed. So my question is can i just seal off the little hole on the plate, remove the diaphragm/gasket and then use gm silicone to seal this all off? Part number for the gasket/diaphragm is 97222874. But its hard to find and isnt cheap. Thanks guys.

Nothing inexpensive about parts for these trucks, $30.00 for both plus shipping, oh well. Never tried maybe you could just leave the diaphragm and spring out.?

With it rerouted you could do just what you are talking about with no issues. Mine has been like that for a while.
