Okay, so Ive noticed that 90% of the time if i leave a stop light a little lead footed my truck will feel like it slips then catches within less than a second. If I mash the throttle fromt he start it doesnt do this, but it also spins the tires. If I ease into the throttle it wont do it either.

also I was running around on the stock tuning the other day and noticed i couldnt get it to do this little pause.

Im lost.

another issue i have is a howling sound around 30-50mph. It will only seem to do it if I am coasting and have the throttle pressed slightly, but not enough to accelerate. Its not really a constant sound, has a bit of a lope to it.

And my last issue. Every now and then my truck decides not to shift into 5th until 70-75mph doesnt matter if im in T/H or not. Im assuming I should just reset my Taps and relearn the tranny for this though.

and one last thing, when the TC locks up in 5th gear it really drops the RPM, you can really feel it, the other day it barked the turbo it dropped them so quick. Im assuming this is because I am running sa 1055 though.

i have the 1055 and no such problems, have never barked my turbo unless i chop the throttle at high boost , i might drive the truck today if i do i will let you know how much rpm drop i get .

dont worry yourself so much, i know you are looking for a reliable and competitive puller, but just relax and have a good time, your truck will be okay.

In all honesty, im the guy that could care less about my truck, ask anybody around here. I have deer damage from may that I have yet to fix. Rear end damage from getting hit by the sled that I havent fixed. My clearence lights blink with my flashers due to a shotty install from the pervious owner(done it for 2 years). My a pillar hangs down and my climate control screen cover has been rolling around in the cab for a year.

when it comes to the drivetrain i just want to reule out premature failure, and since i built this trans myself I want to know if something may have been done wrong so I can learn from my mistakes.

I only managed to bark the turbo once, ive tried again but have been unsuccessful. I dont mind the 1055, im sure once pulling season rolls around Ill love it.

I did pay attention to the howling sound today. It seems that it is at 30mph when it is most noticeable. I thought maybe it could be my front diff as the seals have been leaking for a year and i have yet to check the level, but the fact that it only happens with my foot barely on the throttle in 2wd leads me to think its something else.

I also paid attention to the pause on take off. From a dead stop it isnt there, but If I am coasting under 3mph and then go to accelerate I notice it.
