Thanks for the words of encouragement guys. I have been losing motivation to get this thing running again, but the parts getting here has helped boost it a little. I think once I get it back from the machine shop, I'll be really excited to get the truck going again. I just wish I was going to be able to have it at the NHRDA race that's going on not too far from me next weekend.
Josh, Why did you go carrillo?
That's what Guy recommended.

Decided to get the cam also eh Josh:) Looks very nice
Ya, I wanted to last time but didn't. I figured I might as well get it now, or it may never get done. This ought to be the last time I have it opened up for a long time.

Thanks Steve. I wish all you guys were closer so you could lend a hand when it's time to go back together and fire it up.

Some very good parts indeed. Which cam did you go with?
It's the SoCal 6460 cam. I wanted something to help power in the upper RPMs, and that's what Guy suggested. He could give more details on it than I could.

Yea I know what you mean about losing motivation. Mine was almost up and running then it had to go back for the same reason as yours. They have mine running I just don't know when I am going to have time to get it. Good luck on your build.

Very cool Josh! Lots of pretty parts, good luck with the re-rebuild. I like those rods a lot better than your old pieces of shit.

Are you assembling this yourself? I live in the DFW area and if I am close to you and you need any help, just send me a PM and maybe we can work something out.

A little more eye candy. This thing looks so good, I wish I had a permanent place for it on the engine.

Does Guy rent that out of do you have to buy it? I have been wondering this as i dont think anyone close to me has a torque plate and to me this is a very critical step in building a high hp block.
