Question: Part identification

This part on top of my 2004.5 duramax is leaking oil I believe. Does anyone know what it is and is it an easy fix? Apologize as I am new to diesels. Thankx

Looks like the shift solenoid on the front diff...

Egr motor. The mounting screws may be loose. Tighten them and/or replace the gasket.
