For you trivia buffs, the first Camaros were made in 1965, but they were called Panthers during the development testing. At the last minute, they changed the name to Camaro to "wussify" it. The Panther was to be a Mustang Killer, pouncing on unsuspecting equines in ambush.

SLP is going to Recycle the name. There will be 4 versions of the powertrain, from 560 to 700 HP.

Overpriced fads for old people to buy and keep in a bubble dreaming that they will have value someday.

Close to new ZL1 Camaro in the July issue of Chevy High Performance or Chevyhiperformance.com anyway page 42 in magazine. This factory Camaro ran 40th at the Nurburgring track in Germany time wise compared to a ZR1 Corvette that holds 9th fastest time of7:19.63 the ZL1 Camaro ran 7:41.27. Now this is just quoted in my magazine article but it does show GM is back. Take the time to read this article and check out the website then you just might want to maybe drive one too. $55k price tag for ZL1 Camaro. A decked out SS Camaro is $35k and you can't spend another $20k and make the SS a ZL1 even come close this read says. I'd love to try to just drive this thing once in my lifetime, Camaros just always were my favorite at 69 SS ETC. Over and out-check it out if you want to see a cool set up from Factory. For the money spent for a driver machine like new Duramax to this for same money this ZL1 will get a buyer who intended to get a truck in some cases and it's ready to fly. Enjoy gotta run.

Too fast for me but if I find the extra 20k bones this year maybe it will end up in the garage and the LBZ will sit next to it with it's improvement program put on hold, the Duramax runs just great like it is and the tranny is fine so far think I'll let it be.

For a basic SC swap and some painted wheels? Seems like a waste to me.

Oh no no no, When the American factories motor heads dont have the bean counters up their asses, NOBODY makes a better hot rod!!!! Its not just tape and a blower at all!

Gawd, THAT would be a fun funkin ride to drive. Not fond of the look of the late models, but That is THE best looking late model Camaro I've seen. Thanks for posting that up. When I win the powerball this will be on the list of have to have items.
