2006(late model) Silverado 4X4 crew cab. New to site. Have a question, I want to use some bio or veggie oil for lubrication but would really like to know what damage is supposed to be done if I use too much? I cant get the dealership to tell me that.

Welcome

With Bio 20% and you will be fine. Lots of guys have ran 100% with no problems at all but that's not to say its for everyone.

As for Veggy oil I would not run it unless it was converted go bio fuel. But that is me.

IMOP, you need to be careful. The stuff that goes into the tank needs to be clean with no particulates. With the cost of a CP3 nearly $1000, and injectors at $260 each, I wonder how much $$ I would save burning bio's if it was not done correctly and took out components of the injection system.

FWIW, I can not run the stuff because of the temperatures we have; I stick with dino diesel and a little 2 stroke oil. :D
