P1093 Code - Please Help

Hey guys, long time time reader first time poster. I've got an 03 duramax 4x4 crew cab with 315K on it. The truck is all stock with the exception of a standard PPE tuner on tune 2 along with an edge CTS monitor. It is on it's third set of injectors, with about 65k on this set. My balance rates all look ok, all within the +/- 4 spec.

I haven't really noticed the truck running bad, or loss of power, but when going through the DTC's on the edge I am getting a "P1093 Fuel Rail Pressure Low During Power Enrichment". I cleared it and it came back.

While watching my fuel rail pressure on the edge it appears to be idling around the 5k mark. I do notice that when I go out on the highway and stand on it the FRP will start to come up then drop slightly until I back out of it then will come back and hit 20k or so. It's like it's being starved of fuel.

The fuel filter has around 5k on it. Would that be the place to start or do I have bigger problems? Thanks!

Start with a new OEM fuel filter (not Napa or whatever knockoff). If that doesn't fix it, your CP3 is probably on the way out.

Given the truck has 315k miles, the CP3 might just be done. Mine started struggling to hold rail with a big tune around 275k miles, so with 315k and a PPE tune, it wouldn't be surprising if yours can't keep up anymore.
