Well something strange is going on. The voltage on the batteries charged is about 12.7-12.9 on both. When I hook the up and turn the key on the voltage drops to 7 and comes back up to 10. What is strange is I have continuity between the positive and negative battery cables which is weird cause I checked the truck over and I didn't see anything that I cut. So this sounds like it's going to be fun to track down. You think it would be helpful to disconnect the TCM and check for conitunity again and if it's still has it to disconnect the ecu and check/ Maybe the ecu or tcm shorted out inside? now seems my p0880 went away but now have U0415 and C111b although the p0880 could come back if i had cranked it, couldn't get it to crank.

Its bugging me so i checked. I disconnected tcm and still get continuity, disconnected front ecu harness amd still get cont. Couldnt get back ecu connector off so i will reattack that tomorrow.

I’m assuming you mean continuity between the cables with the battery disconnected. If that’s the case, hook up your meter and start pulling fuses till you lose continuity. Might help narrow some of this down for you.

You will have to disconnect all the modules and accessories to get rid of the continuity. The modules need a "sleep" command to stop drawing power. With a low voltage or disconnected battery the modules will still show continuity.

Get new batteries and rejoice in the simplicity of the issue

I left forward ecu connector and tcm connector off while batteries were charging and took a shower. Came back out and it had continuity for about 5 seconds and now no more continuity even with ecu and tcm hooked back up. I can check the batteroes at autozine but dint they just check for power? Cause volts are showing good, guess i could take it to a bayyery shop. I dont understand what you said though, power and ground should never have continuity, right? Not saying you are wrong cause i am not an electrician but doesnt make sense to me. I want to make sure cause i dont want to spend 3-400 on batteries and find out its the same issue.

Merged the two P0880 threads. Please refrain from making a new thread about every little thing thats happening. Its tough to follow for those wanting to help you.

Ok that’s a different critter. Do you get continuity across the battery itself? Auto zone can do a battery load test that will be more definitive than a multimeter test, but it hasn’t always indicated the problem in my experience. Since you’re seeing 7 volts on an attempt to start with a return to 10 after a top off, I would have a hard time seeing how it wasn’t the batteries as that’s way too low.

Don’t over think the little things. Signs are saying battery/s from what we can see over text

Both batteries magically were bad. Truck cranks now but still doesnt start. Would i have to bleed the fuel due to 9th injector removal?
