P0742/ Converter dragging when cold...

Just to update this thread for future searches....
Had sent the converter back to Suncoast where they said it "definitely was worn out". Pulled the trans apart and found the C2's were pretty much smoked as well. So upgraded to the GMax5 kit. Proud to say that she is shifting perfectly again! And I don't need to tune out my 3-4 'double shift' anymore as well. Here's to another 100k out of the old girl!

Under full throttle when it would hit fourth gear it felt like it shifted twice basically. Would slam hard right when the shift would start then slam again when the shift was about done. I have a feeling this may have been part of the reason my C2's were smoked. I had gotten rid of most of it by programming an '02 operating system into the TCM. Now I can finally run my original operating system and get my 5th gear disable back!
