p0571 dtc need help

the other night i had this code pop up along with u1300, i researched the two and found that u1300 really doesnt seem like a big deal but p0571 seems to be more important. last night i went out to my truck and the break lights were on and it seems like they had been on for quite a while cuz i almost burnt myself when i touched the lense... I guess its the break switch cuz i have been getting all the common symptoms. my main question is what is that if i replace the switch will this fix my issue?? I never found any feedback about anyone actually solving this issue, just discovering it.

ok so i just go get a new break switch? this is the part i had questions about...

Try pulling up on the brake pedal and see if it is hanging down for some reason and activating the brake light switch. You may also try unplugging the brake switch just to make sure there isn't a short to power (unlikely especially given the code). I would buy a switch and see if that doesn't fix it.

thanks for the help joshh i checked it out last night and im gonna go get a new switch today after work and see if that will fix it
