Help: P046c

[MMLMM]

LMM with EGR blocked, EGR turned off, MIL off, not reported.

I have no light but it still comes up in the background.

Not a huge deal right now but my factory remote start won't work with it setting in background.

Any idea or help to get it to go away since its not reported? Once in a while I get a 2033 (i think) code pop up in background too and its set not to report.

Pretty sure it still plugged in, Ill check. Just actually thought maybe that is part of it. All the parameters are set so EGR dont come on then all the EGR DTC's are not reported. I have the blocker plate as well in.

EG: b1502 is max value of 110,then i set it to 109.9? Not sure if this does help,but i never get EGR codes

The code comes up right away when I start the truck, If i shut it off, clear it comes back right after I start it.

Dunno Mike perhaps set those tables to 0.5 and see what happens?

try theese settings mike just fyi as long as there is no light on the dash the remote start will work u may have another issue going on

Mike copy the changes from this tune over to yours. It's stock with egr and dpf codes blocked. I don't get ay codes with this setup

if there is a cel the remote start will start then shut off right away, also doesn't work with the hood open

if there is a cell set on the dash for any reason the remote start wont work it will start then shut off

P046C is an EGR valve problem. The Valve sensor isn't reporting the position like the ECM thinks it should. (the sensor value is changing when there is no change commanded) To my knowledge, EFI does not look at the response table. There is a factory reflash that can open up the tolerance but most have to get the EGR valve replaced.

Let me ask Pat how he fixed it in Wendy. Wendy had a bad EGR and this is the code it threw IIRC it also caused a loss of power.

Unplugging will change the code thrown. The only problem here is the interaction with the remote starter, which I know little about.
