I’ve got the Banks Derringer, Pedal Monster, Monster Exhaust, iDash Data Monster and now the Banks Ram Air Intake with dry filter.

After installing the new intake yesterday and driving around today, every time I shut the truck off and try to remote start, it won’t do it as I now have a CEL and code P007C. I then clear the code, start the truck normally and drive wherever but it does it every time I turn the truck off and back on again.

Any ideas? The kit came with a MAF fooler to prevent codes but apparently it’s not working. Also, the MAF was clean but I cleaned it with CRC MAF cleaner anyway.

and that's why I don't like "foolers". they seem to be more trouble than they are worth

The MAP and FRP foolers work well. I’m going to try updating the firmware as well. MAP absolute pressure is 12.9 while idling but shows zero when code throws.

It’s probably a firmware they need to fix. If the new one doesn’t fix it, probably going to need to call them. It’s going to be an issue on their side of things

Call banks and ask them what's going on with this.

I updated the derringer and idash data monster’s firmware. The 4 channel and pedal monster were already up to date. No difference, code sets every time I drive the truck.

Took the stupid fooler off and cleaned both ends and out back together making sure of a good connection and that locking tabs engaged. No difference.

I’ll call Banks on Monday.

Called Banks tech support. They think the AMCM is bad so they’re sending me another one FedEx two day.

not to derail this op, but why didnt you go with the pulsar?

I had an Edge on my LB7 and the truck would shut off while driving down the freeway. They bought it back and I’ll never use Edge again.

Good news, I received my new AMCM today from Banks and after 5 or so key cycles and driving 10 or so miles I’ve had no issues with CELs, codes or lack of remote start. Truck runs great.

I also spoke with Banks tech support and they said they were able to replicate my original issue on their shop trucks and made a simple calibration change which fixed the issue.

The 2 AMCMs pictured below have the same part numbers but the new one has a -2 after the V1 representing the new calibration which cannot be made at home via your PC.
