LB7: P&p IHI with billet wheel vs stealth 64mm

The stealth 64mm (Duramax Tuner) and Fleece 63mm IHI both look like modded stock IHI's, just no information on the turbine wheels.
s300 center section with the 68 TW
if your going to spend the money on one might as well go with a bigger TW

As others have stated, the stealth 64 uses the stock turbine wheel with a cast BW comp wheel. Fleeces 63 uses a billet comp wheel & 68mm turbine wheel in the S300 cartridge; they modify the exhaust housing to get it to fit.

As of right now, I've not found a drop in replacement turbine wheel for the IHI's. The best thing is to upgrade to an S300 cartridge that you stuff into an IHI exhaust housing if you're wanting to stay with a stock frame turbo.

Stock turbo with all the different wheels & modified housing again with the different wheels in on that spread sheet.

Thanks Russ, what is the stock IHI turbine size?

Good info to have. Im still leaning towards your IHI options at this point.

compressor 60.3mm inducer 82mm exducer
turbine 68mm inducer 62mm exducer
(Don't hold me to them)

Talk to David at DTS. I have a 64mm billet wheel ihi waiting to go on my truck. He also has a 66mm billet that is a hybrid with a ihi cover.

With the larger comp wheel it pulls in more air and I don't have the fuel, therefore my air/fuel mix isn't right. I'm not a master but that's my thinking, someone else may be able to correct/explain it better.

When running the 63.5mm wheels my exhaust was clear from looking at my dyno videos.

Wetzel wheel is what size? I would think more air with a 63.5mm wheel with the same fuel would produce more power.

The stock size wetzel wheel made more power than the 63.5 wetzel wheel in my case. Again, I think I'm out of fuel.
If you don't have the fuel to mix with the air you wouldn't get more power, thats my thinking anyway.

DTS's 64 IHI made 599hp with 45% injectors and LBZ cp3.

I believe DTS makes the stealth 64 IHI for Duramaxtuner.

Tuning/elevation play a huge role besides cp3 health

I've got stock injectors with a health stock cp3. The pickup has 110k miles and my cp3 held rail at 23-24 ksi at 3100 us & 31 degree's.

A few things that play a big factor. How/what was the pickup tuned for? What dyno is it on? What parameters was the dyno set to? When was data sampled? Is your dyno operator knowledge?
