Currently have 3" drop shackles in rear and jus installed stock keys and have torsion bars all the way down.. I want the rear end to be lower. Question is if I take my overload springs out will it still be ok to tote a gooseneck around.. Didnt know if the springs made that big of a diff.. Also is here any tricks to keep the front tires from rubbing when the wheels cut.. I seen on here that the new trucks can be trimmed at bottom of fender.. Info/tip tricks

10 lb sledge and cutoff tool will do the trick. :D X2 on the airbags.

With my 3" shackles I haven't noticed a diff pullin the gooseneck or a trailer other than havin to put another block under the jacks or havin to turn my reece insert upside down. I might hook to a gooseneck once a month if that but ya never know.. My dad has bags on the rear of his d max. It's a rough ride when they aired up but they do serve the purpose. How much further does the rear drop with the big spring out??

a 3500srw is same leaf pack as 2500, plus another small thin leaf.

3500drw is same as 3500srw pack, plus additional reverse overload on the top of the pack.

Both srw and drw 3500 packs have the top overloads and frame bumpers. Also there is a mason dump option where the pack has several additional leafs in the main pack and overload pack.

TThe rear end drops as much as how tall the overload is IIRC about an inch.

The 3500 SRW is the same as a 2500 pack with a "add a leaf" so to speak. Only the dually's have frame bumpers and a top overload... that I have seen, although not too many 3500 srw here.

I've never towed a gooseneck, so I have no idea how much tongue weight they have. But I do know that some guys have put 1500 series leaf packs in their HD2500's, and added air bags. They get the drop that they want, and can still tow heavy trailers, but they were bumper pull.

I'm not sure if it would do what you need it to, just thought I'd throw the idea out there for discussion.

I already forgot about the 3" drop, so yeah, brians right, the reg 3/4 airbags won't fit, but in all reality, your still going to have 2 more springs than a 1/2 ton. I towed without my overloads with no problems, but that was just a bumper pull, not a gooseneck.

My buddies got a srw 3500 and it has two sets of springs, frame bumpers and top overload (from the factory)

in reference to towing the gooseneck, there needs to be more info? For example how much weight are you planning to tow?? That would be the deciding factor for me!!!

Seems to me like I need to mount some overload springs on top of the spring pack.. Can't put air bags on it cause that would be in the way of my blocks for pulling..hmm
