Pretext: This is not about overheating LLYs

Yesterday, we were racing Dimitri on the freeway, and after we turned over to 100k miles, we noticed that it was severely overheating. We stopped and found that it had pushed more coolant out. My question is what could happen to the engine is the coolant is above 250 for prolonged periods of time.

What Im experiencing - HGs. Poppin out the overflow. Hows your water pump? Ive driven it a few times and will fill it and in the higher rpms my gauge will bounce from like 170-210 pretty rapidly and act like its overheatin and then cool down when im back off of it again. Im pretty sure I have 2 seperate probs tho... bad o ring in water pump causing squirting there, then headgasket causing overflow.

I know its the head gaskets, but I was wondering if the hot coolant will do anything else to the motor?

Mine got this hot a couple times as the thermostat was cycling due to about 1 1/2 gallons of lost coolant.. Does the truck want to hydrolock after sitting overnight also?
