outside air/recirc blend door issue

If you can get in there and get it out without too much trouble, you can switch it with the temperature actuator which is on the bottom of the HVAC case and easily accessible. Both actuators should be the same part number. Just don't plug the actuators in until they are bolted to the HVAC doors as the actuators may do a self test. If there's nothing there to stop them they'll over-travel and stop working and (according to GM) will be damaged. But in reality you'll just have to pop them apart and reset the gear/shaft to the middle position.

Just to update. It was the blend door actuator. Swapped in a new one and no issues since. I could not for the life of me get to the very back bolt on the actuator. Spent 2 hours messing with it. Finally said the hell with it and pulled the top of the dash off and air bag out. 30 min later i had the actuator out lol.
