Not sure on the whole any sensor will work method, but I am about 80% sure most all GM sensors are the same. So 1 from a Caddy might fit the same in our trucks. Whether aftermarket or OEM there mostly the same. As far as rims and TPMS goes, any rim can be fitted with the TPMS sensor. Its basically a rubber valve stem with threaded metal on the inside where the TPMS sensor attaches.
