there is also one below and to the right of the oil filter, I am currently using that for my turbo oil feed.

its the one ATS currently uses for thier turbo kits, its not on the housing, its on the block.
If it is on the block, then that is what we are talking about:confused: below and to the right is the filter houseing or oil cooler,
really there is not much lower than the filter:confused:

IMO, you want the reading as far downstream as possible, before oil goes to the motor. IOW, after the cooler.

Kinda like what Adam whas saying,And I see the reasoning Thanks

no nit exatly.. you want the sensor at the last possible restriciton to flow.

take a SBC for example. oil flow is pump, filter, mains/rods, cam then you pressure sensor is on the last cam bearing #5 in this case. min OP is 18psi hot @ 800rpm and roughly 40psi @ 3000rpm wiht a std volume oil pump

so any beaing that is allow more oil to flow past it then normal you WILL SEE a psi drop in the guage.
now if said sensor was say between filter and main bearings.. you could loose one of your cam bearings and you will see a PSI drop but not near as supstaintial as if you were on the last bearing..

AFAIK its the OEM oil supply for the turbo

Hence the reason we dont use it for aftermarket turbos....makes sense
thanks people

wonder if you knowing the differential of up and downstream would be good knowlege to have...HMMM
