Optimate cord near battery

Not sure where to put this... I found a cord with a cap on it with the name Optimate in it, cap is red and seems hooked into the battery. Any idea what it is?

It’s for a battery charger. Did you buy the truck used? Don’t think it’s factory.

I did...I did a search online and found their stuff. Any ideas why that would be necessary, I do know the truck came from Canada...help keep the battery charged in cold?

Battery tender. Used often when they sit for extended time especially in the cold to keep the batteries from going dead or freezing

Solar charger, or a trickle charger. Used often in medic trucks that sit parked on standby for extended periods. Or someone left their truck in storage lots and wanted to keep the batteries up.
