I bought two sets of rancho 9000's from two different companies and you could compress and pull out with your hand on all settings. not to impressed.

Just installed my kyb's in the back of my truck the other day, ride feels real nice. Not real stiff at all, but again not sloshy either. See how long they last!

I have a chance to buy a set of lightly used fox 2.0 non reservoir shocks. Anybody have any experience with them?

I have run the Bilsteins in both trucks and like them...I think the ones in BlkMax are sacked out, but they have almost 60k on them. The newer ones in Emma are still riding great. I liked the Bilsteins enough to buy a second set. We have c**ppy roads up here and I liked the ride with the Bilsteins.

I will know more when I put the QA1's in the black truck....

for the front or rear? what did they come off of?

I really like my ranchos. the 9000s on my samurai have been on for 11 years now and its finally time for some new ones. i just put 9000s on the rear of the truck a few months back, they work awesome

I ended up buying them right after I posted. I got all 4 of them for $325 shipped. The kid got them from Norcal as part of a leveling kit and he ended up lifting the truck. So they are about 3 months old and in brand new condition.

In my opinion, the fox 2.0 emulsion non resi shock out performs the bilstiens in every category, they offer a smooth ride yet are more "spirited" , they just seem to settle faster and get overworked less easily, they were my all time favorite shock i have ever ran, and as soon as it is feasible i will be getteing a set for my lifted application, bilstiens are good and imho are way better than stock and worth the money, but the fox shocks are on another level all together....they friggin expensive as hell, im not sure they are worth all the extra coin, but they are flat out better
