I'm going to have as many kids as I can support 2 at least. Its quality, not quantity.

doesn't this statement contradict itself?

Why does that sound like a good idea?

Because the world/resources can only sustain so many people.

Octomom is disgusting. She says she has the right to have as many kids as she wants. Well if she is living off government support, that seems like I have the right to say how many kids she has, and she is way over budget IMO.

And what your smart enough to decide on what that # is? Don't you you think society might just continue to evolve and create ways for the planet to sustain more people? Think of how framing has changed in the last 50 years. The yields per acre have nearly doubled in that period.

Anyone seen "Day the Earth Stood Still"? Not the best movie, but when he realizes that people only change on the edge of disaster.........well I think that's about right. We will screw ourselves until something HAS to change.

And one example of the would be???? From an individual stand point I agree that is the case at times, but as a "people" I don't. The last change the people made hasn't worked out all that well so far. I hated that movie just another piece of crap out of Hollywood with an addenda. It wasn't even entertaining at least "The day after tomorrow" was.

you have to look at how it got this way....100 years ago....children were a benefit to families, especially farmers, because having a kid meant free labor...

nowadays, it means lawsuits
